Novice Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

April 3rd, 2016 at 2:21

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the wild west in a wonderful game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers bet against other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful individuals taking their cash.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, novices can take their time and scheme without needing to make quick choices.

It’s also much simpler to wager on for a very long time with only a tiny bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the dealer receives 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
