Recently, I got a question from one of my students. It stated, "What precisely is pot odds and is Hold’em pot odds system worth pursuing?"
One point to keep in mind, any kind of Texas holdem odds can and usually do have very confusing. Nonetheless, let me break pot probabilities down in extremely simple terms. Please note that we are only discussing Pot Odds. Not outs, implied odds, straightforward probabilities or something else like that.
In short, pot odds are the probabilities you get when determining the ratio of the quantity of money in the pot to the quantity of money it’s going to price you to call the wager.
For example, let’s say you’re heads up with Player A.
